If you are planning to welcome a new AKC Bernese Mountain Dog into your family soon, I have a waitlist you can join. 

Through January we bred for spring four 2023 litters (historically only about ½ our matings produce litters), with due dates in this month, 2023 and go-home dates in May/June.  We have one female (Daddy's Girl Sadie) bred to The General in late February and (with cooperation from Mother Nature) hopefully due late April

Below is a response I send to all first-time inquirers. It covers just about every question individuals often have about my breeding program. But, that doesn't mean I have covered all YOUR questions. If the information you are looking for is not found below, please let me know and I will get you an answer.

Distance from my home to loving families is not an obstacle, because, along with a Lifetime Genetic Health Guarantee (this document and other valuable information is included in the G-drive link I am including below), I offer FREE delivery, up to 750 miles (one-way).

FREE ground delivery is available after Adoption Fee is paid in full, up to 750 miles from Clark, WY 82435*

Ground/Air Transportation is available beyond the 750 free miles (one way).

*The delivery cost, beyond 750 free miles is as follows, $750 travel fee and this cost covers either:

A) Continental United States flight with the required flight-approved travel crate via American Airlines, only (if we opt for the flighted delivery, plus $150 convenience fee, only if puppy departure gate arrival must be before 10 am); or

B) Continued ground transportation beyond the first 750 miles (one-way).  In addition to the $750 fee cost for transportation beyond the 750 miles free, one single night's hotel accommodation is billed at the 751-mile trip (one way) and every 751 miles beyond that.  Payment for all Travel Related expenses (if any) is due prior to the puppy leaving Clark, WY.

Option a or option b is a decision we leave to our discretion (based on weather, especially temperatures, the final destination for every puppy from that litter, and our personal busy schedule), but as early as reasonably possible and no later than age 10 weeks old.

Our puppies are all ready to leave their mom between 8 weeks and 9 weeks. This is to ensure the puppies get all the den/litter lessons they need to become well-adjusted family companions.

For your peace of mind, all our puppies are guaranteed family reared and not inbred and come with (as basic) first and second vaccinations, worming, dewclaws removed, plus a "How To Raise a Bernese Mountain Dog" puppy manual.

I use an AKC certified evaluator and professional Litter Nanny to help raise all my litters. Her name is Ledanna Scalf and her contact information is attached as a business card to this email. She flys in right after a litter is born and stays to help me/momma dogs care for and nurture the puppies.

Our puppies are also personality matched*, dew claws removed, crate and chew conditioned, and potty training began. They also each receive their first groomings with nails clipped, as well as offer their families peace and confidence that they come with our Lifetime “Happy Tails Genetic Health Guarantee” against serious inherited diseases.

There is also 1-month of free pet insurance available through my breeding affiliation with TRUPANION Pet Insurance and an additional free month from an award-winning company through the AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB.

(* Personality Matching involves you completing an Owner Questionnaire so we can ascertain what temperament puppy would suit you best. When the pups are close to 7 weeks old we access them individually, through 8 personality tests that result in them getting a score that reveals their personality. This allows us to match owners with their best-fit puppy and ensures that inexperienced owners or those with very small children don't end up with boisterous, high-energy dogs.)

If you'd like to meet my parent dogs and puppies, we hold "Puppy Open Days.” Join my waiting list to learn when these will be for this litter. Just know that no puppies are released on these days and only those who have submitted completed “Puppy Adoption Agreements” are invited to participate.

Sorry, due to the huge number of requests and our busy lives, we do not normally allow visits at other times.

I co-own these litters with my daughter who lives in Windsor Colorado. The puppies are raised at my home, in Cody, Wyoming which is near Yellowstone.

We keep our pets lean because it helps protect their joints/bones/etc from trauma as they tromp through life with us, keeping up with our active lifestyle.

Sire General is 110 lbs

Currently, puppies for our upcoming 2023 litters are being reserved with placement holding deposits. They are being reserved for $500 down and $1,000 good-faith installment payment when we are certain we have a puppy in line (born, healthy and on the ground) for new depositors (between 2-6 weeks after birth) and the balance is $2,000 at 8 weeks of age.
